Radio...someone still loves you!

Almer loves radio!

Yesterday he was the happiest person in the world when he came across the new radio station in LA. This new station plays the music he loves (mostly rock from the 70's) and has minimal ads.
It reminds him of his favorite stations in France and the U.K. (FIP Radio in Paris and BBC3)

Now he is a very happy camper! The new station is called 100.3 THE SOUND (click here to check it out live on web!)

Happy listening!

p.s. by the way, pictured is his old Marantz tuner and special antenna, pre-amp, speakers for high fidelity listening, etc.... as his audiophile friends would say "the sound is great and not at all fatiguing"....hahaha!

AlmaNova with Valencia Vas and Kevin Stoller on the radio!

As part of our tour on the East Coast, we were fortunate enough to be featured on Pennsylvanian radio to promote one of our shows.  We spoke a little about how we came together as a band.  It actually is quite an unusual group...a classically trained soprano, flute, guitar and keyboard/piano who play cross-over!  Almer was the first to meet Valencia....he recorded a few tracks on her album, Reflections.  I was the next to join in and the keyboardist, Kevin came last.  So far we have had a great time on our first official tour together and we hope for many more in the future.  If a clip of our interview becomes available, we will post it!

AlmaNova with KPFK host John Schneider!

We had such a great morning with John Schneider, host of KPFK's 90.7 'Global Village'. We talked a little and played three tunes live. Almer spoke about his compositions and gave a small insight into the music and repertoire of Bosnia.
