What a great honor! My piece Sarajevo Nights was recorded by one of the world's best guitar quartets-New Zealand Guitar Quartet :) They did their magic playing my piece and really captured its spirit!

THANK YOU GUYS!

NZGQ new CD "Storm" sounds amazing and has such a wonderful collection of pieces by Bizet, Bach, Beech, Imamovic, Warlock, Utting and Rimsky-Korsakov.  It's an unbelievable privilege to be listed among some of the great composers of the Classical literature!!

Sierra Made Music Celebrates 1 year!!!!!

Wow...time flies when you are busy doing something you LOVE!

We can not believe Sierra Madre Music is now 1 year old!  This past year has been a whirlwind of fun, excitement and MUSIC!  We feel so privileged to watch our business bloom and grow in Sierra Madre.  We are so thankful to our wonderful students and instructors for making Sierra Madre Music a success.

It is truly remarkable to see how much has happened in our little store over the past 12 months....we started a concert series and have presented 4 concerts featuring our amazing faculty.  Our Students performed in the Sierra Madre Art Festival as well as the Sierra Madre 4th of July Parade.  We held our first students recital in June...and are looking forward to the next one in the next few months!  Our students have been prize winners in local competitions:  Sierra Madre Women's Club and Rotary.  Many are first chair in their school bands and are members of the Pasadena Youth Orchestras.  Over the summer we held TWO sessions of Rock Camp...that was a highlight for all!  And...just recently we decided to begin enrollment in a variety of group classes including Rock Band, Adult Jam, and Music Theory!

Most importantly, we have created a Sierra Madre Music COMMUNITY....filled with our amazing faculty, students, parents, customers and music aficionados!  Thank you for making this the most fulfilling and memorable year of our lives!

.........we can't wait to see what will be next!

Sierra Madre Music's 1st Student Recital was a huge success!  We are so proud of all our young performers who participated.  Our students played violin, flute, piano, drums electric and classical guitars!  We were treated to a wide variety of composers from Bach to Led Zeppelin...and even a couple of budding composers premiered their own songs!  We are looking forward to the next one!  Special thanks to our amazing faculty for their devotion and encouragement!

AlmaNova in Chicago

We just came back from a whirlwind visit to the Windy City!  We had the great privilege to perform once again with the Chamber Opera Chicago.  This concert featured some of Chicago's most accomplished opera singers at the beautiful Pritzker Auditorium right in the heart of downtown.  The program was a musical tour around the world, featuring arias from Tosca, Carmen, Madame Butterfly, Turandot, Lakme and many more.  The highlight was a section of COC's adaption of Jane Austin's Persuasion.  We are exploring the possibility of touring with the company while they perform Persuasion in England this summer.  That is certainly something to look forward to!
